This is Li Bai’s another famous poesy. I have already recommended Li Bai is a famous poet in Tang Dynasty.

Li Bai and Meng Haoran (another famous poet) were good friends. Meng Haoran would leave for Yangzhou (a city of China), Li Bai saw him off at Yellow Crane Tower. This poem expressed Li Bai’s deep emotion to his friend. The deep emotion was incorporated in moving scenery; emotion and scene reach highly perfect integration.

Seeing Meng Haoran off at Yellow Crane Tower

My good friend leaves Yellow Crane Tower,

He is going to the east,

Sailing to Yangzhou in March,

While blossoms curl like smoke on the river,

How far away the lone sail,

Fading into the clear blue sky,

Only the Yangtze River remains,

It is flowing at the edge of the world.

黄鹤楼送孟浩然之广陵

故人西辞黄鹤楼,

烟花三月下扬州.

孤帆远影碧空尽,

惟见长江天际流.
